Food Preservation Classes

The University of Maine Cooperative Extension staff is offering a series of free webinars on food preservation.  The four October webinars will provide live demonstrations from experts on how to safely preserve food and taste from Maine's Fall harvest.  The webinars will be offered on Tuesdays from 2:00PM - 2:45PM.  The dates and topics are listed below: 

October 6:    Winter Storage 
October 13: Storing Maine Grains and Repackaging Bulk Items 
October 20: Pressure Canning Meats 
October 27:  Preserving Cranberries 

Registration for each session is required.  Follow-up emails with recipes, resources, and a link to the webinar recording will be sent to participants and anyone who is registered, but unable to attend the live class. A $5 donation is optional.
