25:23 Item #30-2018 Change to the Off-Leash Area in Fort Williams Park

On October 11 the town council referred to the ordinance committee a recommendation of the Fort
Williams Park Committee to change the existing delineation of the off-leash area in Fort
Williams Park, Chapter 7 Dogs Section 7-1-7 Dogs to be Restrained on Municipal Property.

A public hearing was held December 11, 2017. Following an amendment to the proposal the item was
deferred to the January 8, 2018 meeting.

It is recommended this item be referred back to the ordinance committee for further review.

42:45 Item #31-2018 Request to Apply for Resource Protection Permit for Construction of Boardwalk – Cross Hill Neighborhood

The Conservation Committee is recommending that up to 600’ of boardwalk be constructed on
existing trails in the Cross Hill neighborhood north of Tiger Lily Lane. It is likely some of this area is
RP2 wetlands.

It is recommended the town manager be authorized to apply for a Resource Protection Permit to the
Planning Board to construct up to 600’ of boardwalk in the Cross Hill neighborhood north of Tiger
Lily Lane.

The town manager and department heads are in the midst of preparing recommended municipal budgets for fiscal year 2019. This is an opportunity for the town council to provide early budget guidance.

This item is for discussion purposes; no action is anticipated.

We have received a request from Marc Greichen and Sandra Elliott to purchase Lot U3-92 off Ocean View Road for $35,000. The assessed value of the lot is $18,600.  It is recommended that the offer be considered and if positively received by the Council, referred to the Conservation Commission and to a full municipal review.
