22:20 Item# 98-2010 Rooster Review Process
The rooster topic was referred to the Ordinance Committee last month. As it now appears that the issue may be addressed within the Zoning Ordinance, it is recommended that the issue also be referred to the Planning Board.

24:53 Item# 99-2010 Tree Ordinance
It is recommended to schedule a public hearing on the Tree Ordinance for September 13, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall. The proposed amendments were accepted from the Ordinance Committee last month and a public hearing needs to be set before final adoption.

25:36 Item# 100-2010 Town Council Rules- Proposed Amendments
The Town Council will consider proposed amendments to the Town Council Rules to implement changes consistent with the communications strategy adopted last month.

30:22 Item# 101-2010 Pay Per Throw
It is recommended to set a public hearing for Monday, September 13, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. on the potential of a pay per throw system for solid waste. This item will also be discussed at the Town Council workshop meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. prior to this meeting.

The Appointments Committee is recommending vacancies be filled on municipal boards and commissions.

The annual MMA ballot is ready for casting.

A property owner has asked for an abatement of property taxes by reason of infirmity or poverty. Pursuant to 36 MRSA §841 2.G applications are confidential and hearings and reviews on any such requests are held in executive session. The decision is made in public but without disclosing the identity of the applicant.
