Town seeks volunteers for new Senior Citizens Advisory Commission

The Town Council Appointments Committee is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on the newly formed Senior Citizens Advisory Commission.

This ad hoc commission will consist of up to seven citizens. They are charged with advising the Town Council on issues facing the older-than-60 population of the community, and to report to the council by Dec. 31, 2014. The report will include a recommendation of whether a continuing senior citizens advisory commission should be appointed for following years.

If you are interested in applying, you may scroll down to fill out an application online, or click here. Applications may also be obtained at the Town Hall, or by contacting Debra Lane, assistant town manager or 207-799-7665.

Applications must be submitted to Debra Lane no later than Monday, Feb. 17, 2014.

The committee was established by the Town Council on Jan. 6, 2014, and is part of the council's list of goals for 2014.
