Healthly Lawn Care

The 2019 Comprehensive Plan continues to prioritize the preservation of natural resources.  Recommendation #51 directs the Conservation Committee to consider actions that would require residents to "minimize pesticide use and take advantage of programs such as the Cumberland County Soil and Water Conservation District Healthy Yardscaping initiative."

The Cumberland Council Soil and Water Conservation District has a wealth of tips and resources, including workshops, to help you keep your soil healthy and your lawn beautiful without weed and bug killers, and with reduced use of fertilizer.

Promoting healthy lawn care contributes to the Town Council's recurring goal for a sustainable community.
