Boards and Committees Applications Due October 29

The Town of Cape Elizabeth Boards and Committees Annual Appointments Process has begun.  The Town Council's Appointments Committee is accepting applications from residents to fill anticipated vacancies on the following boards and committees:

  • Board of Assessment Review - 1 opening
  • Board of Zoning Appeals – 2 openings
  • Conservation Committee - 1 opening
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee** (7 openings)
  • Energy Committee – 2 openings
  • Personnel Appeals Board – 2 openings
  • Planning Board - 1 opening
  • Recycling Committee – 2 openings
  • Thomas Memorial Library Committee – 2 openings

 **There are seven (7) openings for the newly-formed standing committee - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. Terms will be staggered; 2-one-year terms, 2-two year terms, 3-three-year terms.

 Applications must be submitted to Debra Lane no later than 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2021.

The Appointments Committee will conduct interviews and forward recommendations to the Town Council for consideration at the December 13 council meeting.  Applicants will be notified following the meeting whether or not they have been appointed to a committee.  New terms begin January 1, 2022.
