Due to the COVID-19 closure of the Recycling Center Bottle Shed, the town's Bottle Shed Committee will not be soliciting applications for a share of the proceeds this fall.

Revenues from returnable bottles and cans left at the shed are awarded annually to Cape Elizabeth organizations that benefit the youth of the town. The Bottle Shed, however, has been closed since March and will remain closed until further notice.

The Bottle Shed Committee was scheduled to review applications for 2020 proceeds at a meeting Oct. 23, but the meeting has been canceled.
