Qualification Matches 9:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Elimination Brackets 1 p.m.-3 p.m.

Cape residents will have an opportunity to see robotics teams from around the state in action as Cape Elizabeth Middle School hosts a VEX Robotics tournament on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019.

The most continuous viewing hours will be from 9:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., when the 30 middle- and high-school robots participate in qualification matches. Robots are randomly allied with other robots for 2-on-2 action as teams develop win-loss-tie records.

During the afternoon, from 1 p.m.-3 p.m., the robots choose permanent alliances for the elimination brackets: quarterfinals, semifinals and final. Competition can be more intense as the elimination rounds progress, but there can also be short breaks in the action.

Cape Robotics will have food service for the entire event. Stop by for a snack and see what Grade 7-12 VEX Robotics is all about.
