Council invites residents to June 5 meeting on revised approach to Portland Jetport

The Cape Elizabeth Town Council is inviting residents to a meeting of the Portland Jetport Noise Abatement Committee at South Portland City Hall at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2019.

The committee, which includes Cape Elizabeth representative Town Councilor Penny Jordan, will meet with officials from the Federal Aviation Administration to discuss details about a revised approach plan to the jetport.

Residents near the Loveitt's Field neighborhood of South Portland have been particularly impacted by planes flying directly to the jetport over populated areas.

The meeting will be hosted by a subcommittee of the Noise Abatement Committee.

The Forecaster reported on the meeting in its May 30 edition.
