Fort Williams Park parking fees take effect July 1

The pay-and-display parking program for Fort Williams Park approved by the Town Council in May takes effect July 1.

Here are the highlights of the program:

  • Metered parking will be charged 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily.
  • Hourly parking is $2 per hour/2-hour minimum.
  • A full day parking pass is $10.
  • A season pass is $15.
  • All passes are purchased at the meters at Fort Williams Park.
  • Credit cards only are accepted for payment.
  • The pay-and-display program will be in effect May 1 – November 1.
  • Pursuant to Maine law, a vehicle that exhibits a permanent placard, a temporary placard or a disability registration plate is exempt.

Cape Elizabeth Residents:

  • Parking fees for Cape Elizabeth residents are waived provided that the current Recycling Center Permit is affixed to the vehicle for which the pass was issued.
  • Residents may obtain Recycling Center Permits at the Recycling Center and at the Cape Elizabeth Police Department. Proof of residency required.
