Comprehensive Plan review continues, public hearing set for June 10

The Town Council will hold a public hearing Monday, June 10, 2019 on the 2019 update to the town's comprehensive plan; and will vote on the plan for July 8.

Councilors set the comprehensive-plan actions at their meeting May 13, at the same time reporting progress at the first of three review workshops held May 8.

"We covered about half of the chapters we planned to cover last week, so we'll pick up where we left off with that," said Town Council Chair Jamie Garvin. "We will continue to review and move through all of the chapters of the work of the Comprehensive Plan Committee, so we encourage you to either come out to participate in that, or at least follow along on TV," he said.

Remaining workshops are scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesdays, May 15 and 22, in the Town Hall chamber. They will be broadcast live on CETV, with replays to follow. Links to agendas and supporting materials are on the town website entry for the meeting, and on the comprehensive plan "Hot Topic" webpage.

The council may set an additional workshop after the June 10 hearing to finalize any revisions and to address public comments.

Review, adoption and beginning implementation of the plan is on the council's list of goals for 2019.
