Cliff House Beach will be closed beginning on July 19, 2018 for approximately one week while work is done to replace the existing steps.

Please check this website for updates to construction and closure schedule

Thursday, July 19 - Beach and stairs will be closed all day for repairs to the base.

Friday, July 20 - Beach may reopen, if work on the base repairs goes smoothly. If not, the beach will remain closed.

Saturday, July 21-Sunday, July 22 - Beach is expected to be open over the weekend.

Monday July 23 until project completion - Beach closed again. The stairs should be replaced that day. It is possible stair replacement may slip to a day later in the week, but we are confident the project will be completed by the end of the week (July 27). Once the stairs are replaced the beach will reopen.

Heavy equipment will be onsite and members of the public should avoid the beach during this period.

The town of Cape Elizabeth appreciates your cooperation while it makes necessary safety improvements to the beach stairs and base. The beach will reopen after work is completed.

Cliff House Beach is a town-owned beach at the end of Sea View Avenue.
