Boat Storage Rules

Boat racks at Great Pond
Applications for permits to store boats on racks at Great Pond for the 2018 season are being accepted
from Feb 15 through March 15.
Permits will be awarded by lottery March 19.

Applications for seasonal boat storage at Great Pond for town residents for the 2018 season are being accepted at the town office.

The Conservation Committee will assign boat storage slots by lottery. Any town resident who would like to store a boat at Great Pond should submit an application by March 15 to the Assessing/Codes/Planning office manager at Town Hall. You may apply online, or download a printable application.

Those who received a permit for the 2017 season and did not store a boat will only be eligible for a slot if supply exceeds demands.

Only one (1) application per household may be submitted.

Thirty-two (32) applications will be drawn at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 19, in the ACP Conference Room, Town Hall. Winners will be notified and will have until March 30 to pay for their 2018 Boat Storage Permit ($20). Any permits remaining after March 30 will be distributed in a second drawing from the original application pool.

Permit holders are expected to begin storing a boat by July 4.

At the end of this boat storage season, the Conservation Committee will conduct their annual review. This review will include monitoring of boat storage use at Great Pond. [2017 review]
