Conservation Committee welcomes help building, blazing trails in May

The Conservation Committee will hold two trail work days in May, 2017. Volunteers are welcome to assist and should dress appropriately.

Saturday, May 20, 8:00 a.m. The Conservation Committee will be constructing the Cottage Brook boardwalk. Volunteers should take the trail on Spurwink Avenue located halfway between Route 77 and Stephenson Street and walk down the hill to the construction site. Volunteers willing to carry lumber and/or assemble the boardwalk are welcome. Tools such as gloves and a cordless drill would be helpful.

Tuesday, May 23rd, 5:30 p.m. The Conservation Committee will blaze a trail around "Lesser Great Pond." Volunteers should take the trail located at the end of Fenway and turn northeast. Volunteers may want to bring gloves, lopers, chain saw, hand saw, rakes and bug spray.

Trails will be closed during the work events. For more information, please contact Maureen O'Meara or 207-799-0115.
