Cape Care is seeking a dynamic teacher assistant for our three-to-five year old preschool classroom. We are looking for an energetic, creative, organized, passionate, and caring professional. An ideal candidate must demonstrate an understanding of developmentally appropriate educational practices, be reliable and punctual. Position Classification: This position is classified as a part-time, hourly (non-exempt) position.

  • Early Childhood Education AS or equivalent relevant years of experience and/or training
  • Maine Roads to Quality Registry member
  • Must be very patient, child-focused and willing to spend a great deal of time on the floor interacting with the children
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Sound knowledge base of the development of a young child both physically and emotionally
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment

Crossing Guards

The Cape Elizabeth Police Department is looking for a pool of Crossing Guards at the intersection at Hill Way. The job entails helping Middle School and Elementary School age children cross the intersection for one hour in the morning and 45 minutes in the afternoon during the school year.
