'Spoon River' encores March 18-20 before going on to state
finals
Cape Elizabeth High School Theatre will present encore performances of "Spoon
River" Tuesday-Thursday, March 18-20, at 7:30 p.m. in the High School auditorium.
After its debut on the Cape Elizabeth stage earlier this month, the ensemble
cast and crew of Spoon River went on to award-winning performances at the
area One Acts Festival at Marshwood High School, and will represent Cape
Elizabeth at the state finals.
Spoon River is an original adaptation of Edgar Lee Masters Spoon
River Anthology. Set in late 1800s in Illinois, it depicts 40 townspeople,
played by nine ensemble members.
Tickets for the evenings of March 18-20 are $3 and will be available at the
door.
The public is also invited to the One Acts finals the weekend of March 21-22,
hosted here at Cape Elizabeth High School. Winner of the state competition
will go on to compete in the New England regionals.
