Students sweep regionals, will go to National Science
Bowl in Washington, D.C.
A team of five Cape Elizabeth High School students will represent northern
New England states at the National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C. this
coming May.
It is the second year in a row that Cape Elizabeth has made it to the national
finals, an all-expenses-paid trip to the nation's capital.
As regional winners, the students will represent the states of Maine, Vermont
and New Hampshire. They went undefeated in the Jeopardy-style competition
at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham in early March.
A second team from Cape High placed fourth in their division at the regional
bowl.
