Library rolls out new Web site
The Thomas Memorial Library has unveiled a new Web site offering comprehensive
information about the library and its resources.
The Web site was designed and is maintained by childrens librarian,
Rachel Davis. The site includes information and tutorials on using the
librarys catalog, links to recommended Web sites on a variety of topics,
and an interactive events calendar.
Another helpful feature of the site is the "New & Forthcoming Books"
page, which provides direct links information about new and forthcoming books.
Library users can keep abreast of new books by popular authors, and even
place holds on them before they are published.
There are resources for young adults, parents, and children, as well. The
childrens story time page includes lists of books read at story times
on particular themes, as well as fingerplays and rhymes for caregivers to
share with children; there is even an option for parents to receive email
notifications about story times.
You can visit the librarys new website at
www.thomasmemoriallibrary.org.
If you had bookmarked the librarys old site, be sure to bookmark the
new site in its place as the URL has changed.
