Sawyer Road paving,
milling rescheduled for early July
The Public Works Department has announced an updated schedule of paving and road projects.
Weather permitting, a milling project planned for Sawyer Road will be begin Monday, July 6, 2009. The project was scheduled for June, but has been delayed due to wet weather.
The milling project is planned for the area between Fickett Street and 184 Sawyer Road, just north of Cross Hill Road. "The plan is to mill on Monday and pave on Tuesday," said Public Works Director Robert Malley. Public Works will then move on to the South Portland end of Sawyer Road and Wells Road for maintenance overlays on Wednesday, Malley said.
Malley said the schedule is contingent upon favorable weather.
