Sporting events to close Richards pool Saturday afternoon, Sunday

The Donald L. Richards Pool has announced closures and adjusted hours scheduled for November 2009.

On Saturday, Nov. 7, the pool will close at 12:30 p.m. because of a playoff football game at neighboring Hannaford Field.. Swimm lessons will be offered Saturday morning, with a lap swim to follow from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. There will be no Saturday open swim that day.

On Sunday, Nov. 8, the pool will be closed all day for a swim meet. There will be no open or lap swim.

Wednesday, Nov. 11, is Veterans Day. The fitness center, located next to the pool, will be open 7 a.m.-6 p.m.; and the pool will be open for:

• Lap Swim 7-9 a.m.
• Senior Swim 9-10 a.m.
• Lap Swim 10-11:15 a.m.
• Open Swim 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
• Lap Swim 1-2 p.m.
• Lap Swim 5-6 p.m.
