Council appoints seven to Municipal Operations Review Committee
Seven Cape Elizabeth residents have been appointed to serve on the ad hoc Municipal Operations Review Committee.
They are:
- Richard Bauman, 56 Cross Hill Road
- Bill DeSena, 11 Wainwright Drive
- Glenn Kersteen, 299 Mitchell Road
- Mary Ann Lynch, 2 Olde Colony Lane
- Jean Ginn Marvin, 49 Cranbrook Drive
- Tim Thompson, 6 Pine Ridge Road
- Michael Vaillancourt, 55 Stonybrook Road
The seven were recommended after interviews by the Town Council's appointments subcommittee, and approved by the full council on Aug. 26, 2009.
Eleven residents applied.
The ad hoc committee is charged with reviewing Cape Elizabeth municipal operations to determine their efficiency and effectiveness. The charge applies to municipal operations only; not the School Department.
Town councilors David Sherman and Penny Jordan will also serve on the committee. Town Manager Michael McGovern will also be an ex-officio member.
The committee will shall submit a report to the Town Council no later than July 1, 2010, and be retired on Dec. 31, 2010.
