Applications being accepted for Municipal Operations Review Committee
The Town Council Appointments Committee is accepting applications for an ad hoc Municipal Services Review Committee.
On July 13, 2009, the council established the committee to review Cape Elizabeth municipal operations and to determine their efficiency and effectiveness. Two members of the committee will be town councilors appointed by the council chairman, and seven members will be citizens appointed by the full council, on recommendation of the appointments committee.
Councilors Penny Jordan and David Sherman have been appointed by Chairman Jim Rowe to serve on the committee.
The town manager will be an ex-officio non-voting member. The committee will be reviewing operations of the municipal government only, not the School Department.

The committee will submit a report to the Town Council no later than July 1, 2010, and be retired on Dec. 31, 2010.
