Makeup H1N1 flu clinic for students to be offered Nov. 13

Cape Elizabeth schools are offering a makeup H1N1 flu vaccine clinic for students who did not receive an inoculation Oct. 30.

The makeup clinic will be held in the afternoon on Friday, Nov. 13, at the Middle School nurse's office. More details about times will be announced.

The makeup clinic is intended for students who may have been sick when the first clinic was offered, or whose parents did not want the vaccine but have changed their minds.

Like the first H1N1 clinic held Oct. 30, this clinic is for students enrolled in Cape Elizabeth schools. And, like the last clinic, elementary school children must be accompanied by a parent or trusted adult.

Parents who wish to have their children immunized must fill out and submit a consent form to the Middle School nurse's office by Thursday, Nov. 12. A new form must be submitted, even if one was turned in previously.

More information is available on the School Department's Web site.

A clinic for an H1N1 booster, recommended for children 10 and younger, is tentatively scheduled for the afternoon of Dec. 9.
