Town Hall, library closed for training and employee recognition Aug. 20

The Cape Elizabeth Town Hall and Thomas Memorial Library will be closed all day on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, for mandatory employee training.

An employee recognition event is planned at noon at the picnic shelter at Fort Williams. The event, which had been catered in the past, was eliminated from the fiscal 2010 budget. This year's luncheon will be potluck.

The Richards Pool  and the Fitness Center will be open regular hours, and the Recycling Center will be closed as usual on Thursday.

Members of the Town Council have been invited to and have been involved in planning the employee recognition luncheon.
