Road and facility closures for Beach to Beach 10K on Aug. 1
The 12th Annual Beach to Beacon 10K
will be held in Cape Elizabeth on Saturday, Aug. 1., 2009. Participants will
begin at the entrance of Crescent Beach State Park and follow the race route
to Portland Head Light beginning at 8 a.m.
The Thomas Memorial Library
will open at 10:30 a.m. on the day of the race, and the
fitness center will
be closed.
The Donald L. Richards pool is closed on Saturdays during the summer.
Public safety officials have announced these road closures on the morning
of Aug. 1, 2009:

This years race beneficiary is Maine Handicapped Skiing, a non-profit, year-round recreational program that teaches adaptive sports activities to people with physical disabilities. |
