Site Walks & Trail Work


The Conservation Commission will hold a trail work event on Saturday, November 21st, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Winnick Woods. The work will involve carrying in lumber and constructing sleeper type boardwalks (two boards laid over a post). Interested volunteers are encouraged to attend, if only to carry wood to the construction site. Volunteers should park in the parking lot or adjacent Sawyer Rd and walk down the main trail. Volunteers should wear gloves and may also want to bring tools such as hammers, saws, tape measure and shovels.
