RuthAnne Haley called the June meeting of the Cape Elizabeth Arts Commission
to order at 7:30P.M. Present were Commission Members: Ruth Anne Haley, Julie
Rieger, Wendy Seltzer, Adam Weiner, and Jay Scherma. Genesta Berry was absent.
RuthAnne presented the minutes of the May meeting as the Secretary's Report
and the report was unanimously accepted.
Wendy reported a balance of $1869.62, having no expenditures. The Treasurer's
report was unanimously accepted.
Adam had no update on the fall grant progress, due to display in December.
There was no reception for the June gallery show. Adam also noted that there
were three applications in response to a spring grant. There was no decision
on the award. Adam will check on some new events for the community.
RuthAnne presented the updated gallery schedule and will email the document.
Two new applications have come in but the dates need to be confirmed. They
will be considered at another meeting. The application will be updated to
include more accurate space measurements. The confirmation form will also
be updated as well as a form for the artist to document sales.
Wendy confirmed the town approved $2000 for the next fiscal year, $1000 less
than the previous year. There are no CEAC gallery supplies that need to be
ordered. She has not yet ordered the plaques for the easels.
Each agreed the changes on job description were done. Jay will check on replacing
a member on the commission, with the resignation of Lynda.
Another meeting to clear business was scheduled for June 24.
Respectfully submitted
RuthAnne Haley
