Cape Elizabeth Arts Commission

Minutes for Regular Meeting

March 9, 2010

 

 

 

The March meeting of the Cape Elizabeth Arts Commission was held on March 9, 2010. Present were RuthAnne Haley, Chair, Wendy Seltzer, Treasurer, Chris Gebhart, Grant Coordinator, Doug McFadd, Vice-Chair, and Jay Scherma, CEAC liaison. Aaron Mosher, Tina Harnden, and Julia Bassett-Schwerin were not in attendance.

 

RuthAnne submitted the Secretary’s report which was approved. Wendy submitted the Treasurer’s report which had no new expenditures, leaving a balance of $250.00. The Treasurer’s report was approved. Jay reported that Heather Corey submitted a check for $35.00 generated by sales from her January gallery exhibit.

 

There was no update on the grant recipient.

 

There was no update on the town-owned art inventory project.

 

Doug and Wendy reported that the February reception for the Historical Society’s exhibit went smoothly and was well-attended. The gallery applicant Nancy Hill submitted two examples of her fabric art as requested by Aaron after the last meeting.  After these pieces were reviewed, her application was accepted. Aaron will arrange a date for her.

 

RuthAnne reminded everyone that a chaperone is needed for the gallery reception on April 2.

 

The next meeting of the CEAC is April 13, 2010.
